FCS X-Fit Dayrunner Surfboard Bag Review

Hey Guys, welcome the FCS 3D X-Fit Dayrunner Surfboard Bag! We switched it up on you, as this IS our first attempt at a Surfboard Bag Review, so please let us know what you think! Now, this IS THE BRAND NEW FCS 3D X-Fit Dayrunner and it’s SICK! The main feature is FCS’s mesh panel that runs about 2/3 the length of the bag, it’s stretchable and allows the bag to hug your board, while also providing ventilation! Because FCS is BRILLIANT they have stitched this Day Bag with “armadillo” stitching completely removing the seem along the rail, providing that much more protection. The FCS 3D X-Fit Dayrunner comes in Shortboard, Hybrid, Funboard and Longboard templates and is available in multiple sizes across those templates, so no matter what size/style surfboard you have you’ll be able to find a 3D X-Fit Dayrunner that will fit your board perfectly! This really is some great innovation on FCS’s part, we commend them for that and highly suggest you watch our video review below just posted to our YouTube Channel so you can see exactly what we’re talking about. Thanks again!

NEW FCS 3D X Fit Dayrunner

Hey Guys! So stoked to see FCS push the limits of Surfboard Bag Design with their NEW 3D X Fit Dayrunner! Now, we are going to take a shot at our FIRST Surfboard Bag Video review in a few days with the FCS 3DX Fit Dayrunner, as we JUST got them IN STOCK, but till then I have no choice but to tell you how sick they are! FCS has redesigned how we think of the typical “Surfboard Bag” with their new 3D X Fit Dayrunner innovation. The 3D X Fit comes with a stretchy panel that runs horizontally on the top of the bag, what this does is pulls the actual “bag” tight around your board, it’s genius! This also allows the stitching on this bag to run vertically, so there is NO seam along the rail, offering you unparallelled protection there as well! Sick stuff for sure! The FCS 3D X Fit comes in Shortboard, Funboard, Hybrid and Longboard sizes all of which we have in stock and available. (At the moment) Head over to our site for more information, I’ll get the 3DX Fit Video Reviews shot and up on our YouTube Channel as soon as we get a chance so you can see it for yourself! Thanks again!

How to Pack your Surfboard Bag - Part II

Hey guys, lets pick up where we left off. We were talking about how you should pack your “Travel Surfboard Bag for a surf trip”, using towels and duct tape for extra protection, since you’ll be taking towels anyway. Should you use bubble wrap? Not necessarily, a good Travel Surfboard Bag and the use of properly placed towels should do the job. Towels are better, as you SHOULD still have them for use on the return trip. Bubble wrap may not be around for the return trip. If you have friends like mine, they’ll be popping the bubbles all trip long anyway, making the bubble wrap useless within your Travel Surfboard Bag for your return trip. Nose and Tail Guards are also an inexpensive way to help protect your surfboards at the points where they may need it most. If budget allows, Surfboard Socks are also a GREAT way to pack for a trip because you can use them INSIDE your Travel Surfboard Bag for extra protection AND you’ll have a bit of day to day protection once you get to your destination. Of course we have everything you’ll need for your next surf trip. Please let me know if you need any help selecting your gear!

How to Pack Your Travel Surfboard Bag

Chris here, with summer surf trips right around the corner I figured we should talk about the best way to pack your Travel Surfboard Bag for a trip. First rule DEFINITELY opt. for a Travel Surfboard Bag instead of a Surfboard Day Bag when packing for a surf trip. (Reasons discussed in previous posts.) Next decide how many boards you’re going to be taking on your surf trip and use an appropriate sized Travel Surfboard Bag. Half the battle is using the proper fitting bag, the less space your boards have to move around inside the bag the better. Should you use extra packing material? Possibly, for piece of mind. My suggestion, use your beach towels and some duct tape. (You should ALWAYS take duct tape on a surf trip, if nothing else you can use it to hold your rental car together, don’t ask. lol) Your taking beach towels anyway right? So, use them. Wrap them around the top and bottom boards and tape them in place, you don’t need get tape on the boards, just wrap it around the towels to keep them in place within your Travel Surfboard Bag. To be continued…

FCS Surfboard Bag Review Continued…

Continuing our discussion about FCS Surfboard Bags and features that are unique to those Bags we come across the next REALLY cool feature. Some FCS Surfboard Bags (please see our site for exact models) are equipped with a “Thermo Gauge”, basically a thermometer for your Surfboard Bag! This is important because as you know extreme heat can be damaging to your board. The “Thermo Gauge” sits on the outside of your FCS Surfboard Bags and turns white when the inside of your bag reaches temperatures where your board may be in jeopardy. Between this and the unique “Airflow System” on some FCS Surfboard Bags which allows hot air to escape your bag, you’ll be sure that your boards will stay as cool as possible, so your board(s) last longer! (after all that’s the point of a Surfboard Bag, right?!?) As always there are a TON of other features available on your FCS Surfboard Bags, the features that I highlighted in my FCS Surfboard Bag review posts are simply unique to FCS. If these are features that you’re interested in, please head to our site and check out our entire line of FCS Surfboard Bags. Next up, Creatures of Leisure Surfboard Bags, see you there!

FCS Surfboard Bag Review

Hey guys! I am going to start looking a bit deeper into the companies that we sell so you know what features are unique to which companies, which will allow you to make better informed decisions based on your specific needs. I figured we would start with FCS Surfboard Bags as they’re one of our top selling Surfboard Bag lines. Probably one of the most interesting features unique to any FCS Surfboard Bag is there “dual density foam”. FCS Surfboard Bags basically have two layered foam, a harder more dense layer of foam sandwiched with a more conventional softer foam underneath. The top layer of foam absorbs the impact while the softer layer absorbs energy so that by the time the impact reaches your boards your FCS Surfboard Bag has dissipated the blow to the point where your boards are no longer in danger. Dual density foam IS unique to FCS Surfboard Bags. I personally cut a FCS Surfboard Bag open to check it out and this is SERIOUS stuff! Dual density foam is definitively a feature you should consider when deciding which company to buy your Surfboard Bag from. To Be Continued…

Surfboard Day Bags, What’s New?!? (Ending)

This is the 2nd. half of our “Surfboard Day Bags, What’s New?!?” post. If you choose wisely, a mid ranged Surfboard Day Bag can offer you MOST of the options of a high end Bag, so bang for you buck here is ideal. Now, premium Surfboard Day Bags are my personal favorite, but that’s because I’m a g big or go home type of guy. lol Like anything else, you get what you pay for and your Surfboard Day Bags is no different. A premium Surfboard Day Bags will offer all the bells and whistles, they’re sure to come with the a heat reflective side and a HEAVY duty nylon side. On top of that you’ll get pockets, and sometimes a more heavy duty zipper. Price point is high here, but you can be sure your Surfboard Day Bags will outlast your board! With that said, we carry TONS of Surfboard Day Bags from the best companies in the industry, so what ever your budget and what ever your choice, we’ve got a Surfboard Day Bag for you! There’s a link below to our Surfboard Day Bag section should you like to see what we offer. Please email me any questions. Thanks again and happy hunting!

Surfboard Day Bags, What’s New?!?

I got a lot of feedback on my “Travel Surfboard Bags, What’s New?!?” post, so I decided I would do the same type of post for Surfboard Day Bags. Again, there are a TON of Surfboard Day Bags manufacturers out there, but the good news for you is that we’ve all ready “per-screened” them all and we only offer the BEST of the BEST. Competition creates my favorite thing, INNOVATION! With that said, Surfboard Day Bags features are as varied as the companies that make them. Generally speaking there are 3 “styles” of Surfboard Day Bag and while different companies call them by different names, what you’re looking at are basic, regular and premium Surfboard Day Bags. A base level Surfboard Day Bags is usually made will a light tarpee/tarpee material on both sides and comes in at a good budget price point, but usually offers very few extras. Regular Surfboard Day Bags usually offer some form of a Nylon side (which you should ALWAYS put towards the ground, the tough nylon will stay in good shape against the elements) and a tarpee/silver reflective side. (which you should ALWAYS face up, to keep your board cool) To Be Continued…
