FCS has once again and proven why they're a leader in the surf industry, with the launch of their new Surfboard Bags. It seems to us here at The Surfboard Warehouse that FCS has a game plan, which is being perfectly executed, we say this because of how FCS has rolled out their new Surfboard Bags. It wasn't long ago the 3DXFit Day Bag was launched, shortly after it hit the market, feedback was taken and it was tweaked. Fast forward to this year and FCS has taken what they learned with their Surfboard Day Bags and used it in their Single Travel Surfboard Bags and Dual Surfboard Bags. This leaves us no doubt that the current FCS Surfboard Bag line is just another stepping stone into the future, but while we're here in the present let's go over the new FCS Surfboard Line.

The FCS surfboard socks have been tweaked with updated colors, improved stretch and are available in three templates, All Purpose, Fish and Longboard. This lineup insures FCS has a surfboard sock that will fit your board. The surfboard day bags didn't change much, we're still looking at the 3DXFit Day Bags, available in the same three templates as the surfboard socks. Though it should be noted that across the FCS Surfboard Bag line (the Classic Day Bag is the exception) the "Shortboard" template has been replaced by the "All Purpose" template, which is a more versatile template, ready for your standard shortboard or groveler.

Here's where things get interesting, the FCS surfboard travel bags and I would like to point out that we are obsessed with the Dual, which we'll get to in a minute. In the mean time, let's review how we got here, "FCS rethought what was important; the rails of your board and the fit of your typical surfboard day bag. Then, obviously asked the question, why are surfboard bags stitched along the rail? That thought in mind, FCS was able to design the 3DX-Fit, with "panels", sewn together horizontally down the bag, rather than vertically along the rails. This allowed them to then add a stretchable, breathable panel down the middle of the day bag, allowing for ventilation, extra safety along the rails and a perfectly snug fit!"

This year FCS revamped their single travel surfboard bag and their Dual, recreating their 3DX-Fit technology in a travel surfboard bag and the end result is FANTASTIC! Talk about the future, these two bags are the future, here now and again, we love the Dual. FCS has also smartly colored their surfboard day bags and surfboard travel bags different colors, so there's no mistaking which is which. The day bags remained the FCS classic blue, but gained an optional "cool grey" as a secondary color; the travel bags are a sharp yellow or an optional charcoal and the Dual rounds out the lineup with a very vibrant red. On one last note, I would like to point out that FCS also has your standard coffin style surfboard bags, both with and without wheels, which have both gotten makeovers this year. For those of you die hard FCS fans, don't worry, the FCS Team Series travel surfboard bag is still here in spirit, it's just been renamed to the "FCS MEGA".

FCS arguably started the surf "hardgoods" game and they definitely led the way with regards to removable fins. FCS is an interesting company because they offer the largest range of surf products that we carry. I feel that since FCS lead the way with surfboard fins, they didn't want to disappoint when it came to the FCS Surfboard Bag line. They clearly pushed the envelope with the FCS II Fin system and it seems to me that the same mental approach was taken when it came to the production of some of the most recent FCS Surfboard Bags.

FCS Surfboard Bags consist of your typical surfboard socks, surfboard day bags and surfboard travel bags. However, when looking a bit closer a few things stand out. The first is obvious, the FCS 3DX-Fit surfboard day bag. It seems strange to say that a Surfboard Bag changed everything, but the FCS 3DX-Fit actually may have. If you're looking for a travel surfboard bag, the range of FCS Surfboard Bags doesn't disappoint in this category either, again offering up a few gems. FCS is one of the few companies that still offers a large range of single travel surfboard bags, for shortboard, funboard and longboard, available in the FCS Explorer, while not sacrificing the "slim double", available in the Dual, another surfboard bag within the wide rage of FCS Surfboard Bags. While FCS does offer wheeled coffins, they don't stand out quite as much as the FCS Team Series Shortboard Bag. A bag that offers up the room for 7 surfboards, often used by the pros. on tour and one of our best selling travel surfboard bags of that size.
