FCS H3 Nexus Fin Review

So here it is, the review that everyone’s been waiting for, our FCS H3 Nexus Fin Review. The FCS H3 Nexus Fins are available in a Small, Medium and Large Thruster set, but have the available Quad Rears that can be purchased separately should you want to turn the H3 Nexus into a Quad/5-Fin Set. I know we keep saying this, but it can’t be understated, the thing that makes the H3 Nexus Fins work is the tri-coil technology, explained for you in this Video. Like I say here, I surfed the H3 Nexus Fins as a Thruster in P.R. and LOVED them, if you look back though my posts I think you can actually find where I came back from P.R. and talked about them. If you don’t join Finatic™ for any other reason, the FCS H3 Nexus Fins make it worth it because you can test the H3′s as a Thruster or a Quad. Become a Finatic™ member and start testing fins to find which fins work best for you! As always any comments are welcome, thanks again for all your support! FYI This is the first Video review of six more to come and we should be shooting more Fin reviews this week, so keep an eye out!

FCS H3 Nexus Fin Review

Sorry guys! I was thinking back to other fins I’ve tried and the FCS H3 Nexus Fins popped into my skull. I have tried both the FCS H3 Nexus Medium and Large fin sets. Again, being a borderline “Large” surfer (at 6’2″ 170lbs.) I PERSONALLY tend to use Medium Fins on smaller days and Larger fins on days where I might need the drive and hold as was the case here. On my Puerto Rico trip I did a little swell chasing and ended up at Luquillo Beach, an interesting, but not extremely well known punchy beach break on the North East side of P.R. The conditions weren’t epic by any means the day I was there, but some punchy head high bowls could be found. So, I paddled out with the FCS H3 Nexus Large Fins on my Q.F. Platypus and LOVED them, getting into the steep drops early and making waves that I wasn’t to sure I would make! (I know you’ve been there) I pulled one of the BIGGEST floaters of my life, that in my opinion I NEVER would have made had it not been for the FCS H3 Nexus Large Fins. Yet again I crossed paths with the H3‘s, though this time it was the FCS H3 Nexus Medium Fins back at home in the Gulf on a gutless 3 to 5 day and they were EXACTLY what I needed to get that little extra lift to make a borderline day SUPER FUN! Hope this helps, again try them for yourself with our Finatic Fin Testing Program.

These Fin “Reviews” are intended to be used as a comparison tool, so that YOU can get how particular fins worked for ME on MY boards in certain conditions. Remember, countless factors effect a fins performance, the best thing to do is become a Finatic and test fins on YOUR board at YOUR break for YOURSELF. None the less I hope my fin reviews HELP you make more informed, smarter, fin decisions.

Surfing Gulf Side!

Hey Guys! You may or may not know that The Surfboard Warehouse is located (well we’re EVERYWHERE, but our actual warehouse) is on the gulf coast of F.L. So, when the deep Gulf buoys hit 8ft. at 8 sec. two nights ago and the forecasts called for offshore winds here locally, you know we were on it. We hit up an island around here known for good shallow sandbars and BELIEVE me, it barrels on the Gulf coast. So, rewind to 7:00 am yesterday morning and myself and an employee of mine (I’m a great boss!) were paddling out all alone into nearly perfect 3ft. to 5ft. surf; I used my trusted old Dakine Daylight Deluxe Day Bag that I have for getting my board to the beach, while Cody used a Creatures Day Bag. I tried one of FCS’s new Leashes and Cody went with a Dakine Team Kainui Leash. We BOTH used some fins from Finatic to see what we thought about them. Cody went with the Futures F4 Black Stix, while I choose to try the H3 Nexus Large Fins. FINATIC IS AWESOME!! As I expected NONE of our equipment let us down and I can still personally vouch for anything we sell that I’ve tried. Oh yea! We used Famous (Cool Water) Wax along with a West Lotus 3/2 and I pulled a brand new Billabong SGX Zero 403 for myself. (What can I say I get cold easy…lol) It was 55 +/- in the morning with 65 +/- water temp and we were both pleasantly warm. In retrospect, I am the best boss, I have the best job EVER, AND we have the BEST surf products on the market. Hey, someone has to do some product testing around here. ;) We (at The Surfboard Warehouse) refuse to sell junk, so I gotta personally try it, that way my company can stand behind it. Take it from me, if we sell it, it won’t disappoint!!
