Surfboard Day Bags, What’s New?!?

I got a lot of feedback on my “Travel Surfboard Bags, What’s New?!?” post, so I decided I would do the same type of post for Surfboard Day Bags. Again, there are a TON of Surfboard Day Bags manufacturers out there, but the good news for you is that we’ve all ready “per-screened” them all and we only offer the BEST of the BEST. Competition creates my favorite thing, INNOVATION! With that said, Surfboard Day Bags features are as varied as the companies that make them. Generally speaking there are 3 “styles” of Surfboard Day Bag and while different companies call them by different names, what you’re looking at are basic, regular and premium Surfboard Day Bags. A base level Surfboard Day Bags is usually made will a light tarpee/tarpee material on both sides and comes in at a good budget price point, but usually offers very few extras. Regular Surfboard Day Bags usually offer some form of a Nylon side (which you should ALWAYS put towards the ground, the tough nylon will stay in good shape against the elements) and a tarpee/silver reflective side. There you’ll notice that things are looking a bit different than what you’re used to seeing. Why is that you ask? Well, because we have begun taking our own FCS Fin images as well as making enhancements to our current FCS Fin images so that you the customer get a better feel for what you’re looking at. With online businesses, the manufacturer will often supply photos of their products that a shop can use on their web site. That’s GREAT! However what happens is that online shops tend to take advantage of this and what you end up with is a world where everyone on the Net is using the SAME product images… BORING! Well, you know that we at The Surfboard Warehouse INNOVATE! In this case that means bringing you better, crisper, original, different, FCS Fin product photos! Billabong Revolution Wetsuit Review

Wazzup! Was just talking to our Billabong rep. and he’s got me SUPER amped on the NEW Billabong Revolution Wetsuits set to hit our shelves this coming winter! The Billabong Revolution is a GREAT suit at a GREAT price and let me tell you that the NEW colorways coming out this fall are just NASTY! The Revolution will be available in 3 ALL NEW colorways while still staying available in both the 3/2 and 4/3 thicknesses. I wouldn’t go as far as saying that I’ll be looking forward to colder water again, but lets just say when it inevitably does come, I know the suit that will be waiting for me! How to buy a Travel Surfboard Bag. REALLY.

Hey Guys! This is the follow up to my “How to buy a Surfboard Day Bag” Post. I got a few emails asking that I also talk about Travel Surfboard Bags, so here you go! Thanks for the feedback. Probably most importantly when buying a Travel Surfboard Bag you need to consider how many boards your taking. If you’re only taking 2 the NEW single/doubles are the way to go! Dakine, Prolite, FCS and Creatures ALL make some variation of the “single/double”. They completely hide the 2nd. board, if you’re trying to avoid those pesky airline fees that’s definitely the way to go. Next, DON’T OVER BUY! In other words if you’re taking 3 boards DON’T get a 5 to 7 board Travel Surfboard Bag. You’re just asking for an over sized bag that will raise red flags airline check in. You want your boards to be snug, if you overbuy you’re just asking for damage. If you have 3 boards get a 2 to 3 board bag, MAYBE a 3 to 4 board bag if you want a bit more room for other gear. Last, make sure NOT to cheap out! Get a QUALITY Travel Surfboard Bag that you can trust, ask a friend, look for reviews or just simply visit OUR Travel Surfboard Bag section. We’ve taken the guess work out as we ONLY carry the BEST brands that you can trust. Getting a good deal is GREAT, but if it’s at the expense of your boards being damaged then what was the point?
