Kinetik AI-2.1 Racing Fins Carbo Tune: (FCS Compatible)
Before his tragic passing in late 2010, Andy Irons was working with
Kinetik Racing Fins on the AI-2 to accommodate his new boards, and his
renewed enthusiasm for being back on top. These Andy Irons Forever fins
represent everything critical about his surfing, and his passion to be
one of the Elites. The AI 2.1 fins are a medium template and were
designed ideally for surfers between 145 - 185 pounds(65 - 85kg) The
AI-2 design has been used and loved by many Pros riders since its
development, and we at the Surfboard Warehouse are positive that it will
please you just as well.

"Great Fins"
- Brian Toth., Finatic™ Teamrider, Aguadilla, PR on the Kinetik Andy Irons Forever Medium
Overall Fin Rating: 4.0
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 131 - 140 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 10
Home Break: Jobos, Beach
Where did you surf these fins: Point Breaks and Beach Breaks
Wave Height: 6 - 8 ft.
Wave Conditions: Good
Misc. Wave/Location Information: On the Point Breaks these fins had good drive down the line and on bigger sets it would hold in and not slide out. The Beach breaks you can push as hard as you want off the bottom and worked just as well as the point Breaks.
Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 5 ft. 9 in.
Fin Setup: Thruster
Misc. Board Information: I was riding them on a Sharpeye surfboard thruster and the model was a Tothy Model. It felt nice and sturdy in bigger surf with these fins. Held in well and gave me the speed and drive that I needed.
Other Thoughts: Great fins and can use in bigger surf if you want.
"Performed Very Well"
- Craig S., Indialantic, FL on the Kinetik Andy Irons Forever Medium
Overall Fin Rating: 4.0
Height: 6'2"
Weight: > 200 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 6
Home Break: Indialantic, FL
Where did you surf these fins: Indialantic, FL
Wave Height: 4 - 6 ft.
Wave Conditions: Good
Misc. Wave/Location Information: Day one, waves were funky and hard to get in to -- lots of closeouts. Day two, 2-4 clean and peaky!
Type of Board: Big Guy Shortboard
Board Size: 6 ft. 4 in.
Fin Setup: Thruster
Misc. Board Information: New board -- first ride on board.
Other Thoughts: Because I was using a new board, which dropped a lot of foam compared to my previous board, it was a very loose experience. First session was getting used to board, and it was very loose. Second session was more controllable, but still very fast compared to previous board. Second day, the waves were smaller and I was having a hard time beating sections, then swapped for MF-1 fins. The MF-1 gave a lot more drive, which I needed. Overall, since it was a new and very different board, and smaller fins than I typically use, they performed very well. Cutbacks, and snappy.
"Felt Really Spicy"
- Joel S., Waialu, HI on the Kinetik Andy Irons Forever Medium
Overall Fin Rating: 5.0
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 131 - 140 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 9
Home Break: Haleiwa
Where did you surf these fins: Oahu
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Good
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A
Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 5 ft. 6 in.
Fin Setup: Thruster
Misc. Board Information: N/A
Other Thoughts: These fins are really fast and responsive. My board felt really "spicy" with these fins...especially on better waves. If you normally use say a G5 or K2.1 these fins are a good choice to mix things up...the fins kept a lot of drive thru turns but were still easy to turn. Great for fast vertical surfing.
