Future Fins EA Quad Fins

Welcome Back Quad!
In case you haven't noticed Quad Fin setups are in and Future Fins is on point! Not long ago the surf world thought three was better than four, thus the Thruster revolution began. Fast forward to circa 2005 and the thought is/was that three is not better than four, they're just different. Thus depending on surf style, surfers will bicker over which is better when in all reality we all want a Quad in our quiver now. So, if you have a Quad Future Fins is there for you, designing a Quad line that was coming down the pipes long before Quads were cool. (again) So here we are and Future Fins has us saying, "Welcome back Quad!"

Future Fins EA Quad

The Future Fins EA Quad is a high performance quad package for power surfing. The Quad EA has flat sided foils on both the front driving fins as well as the trailers that give the rider the hold and drive needed when conditions begin to get heavy and the water starts really moving. The EA template is a very stable ride with just the right amount of release, this set up is a must in every serious surfers' quad arsenal. "The Future Fins EA Quad template will hold when you need it most. I use it on all my performance quads!" - ERIC ARAKAWA

Wave Conditions: Poor
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A

"Steven Duke"
- Steven D., San Francisco, CA on the EA Quad Glass

Overall Fin Rating: 3.5

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 161 - 170 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 7

Home Break: Ocean Beach, San Francisco
Where did you surf these fins: Ocean Beach and Montara
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: Smaller summer surf. OC was drained out low tide. Montara was fuller and fatter.

Type of Board: Hybrid
Board Size: 5 ft. 8 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: N/A

Other Thoughts: Worked better when there was more energy in the wave but seemed to bog down on takeoff on steeper sections - which seemed weird as I would expect quads to handle that well. Bottom line is these are not the best for summer surf.
