Future Fins Stretch Quad

Welcome Back Quad!
In case you haven't noticed Quad Fin setups are in and Future Fins is on point! Not long ago the surf world thought three was better than four, thus the Thruster revolution began. Fast forward to circa 2005 and the thought is/was that three is not better than four, they're just different. Thus depending on surf style, surfers will bicker over which is better when in all reality we all want a Quad in our quiver now. So, if you have a Quad Future Fins is there for you, designing a Quad line that was coming down the pipes long before Quads were cool. (again) So here we are and Future Fins has us saying, "Welcome back Quad!"

"Can not accurately judge"
- Lee H., Pensacola, FL on the Future Fins Stretch Quad Fins

Overall Fin Rating: 3

Height: 6'1"
Weight: 181 - 190 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 7

Home Break: Pensacola Beach, FL
Where did you surf these fins: Pensacola
Wave Height: 1 - 2 ft.
Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A

Type of Board: SUP
Board Size: 8 ft. 6 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: N/A

Other Thoughts: I can not accurately judge these fins as my SUP quad is set up for very steep fast control conditions and the day I tried these fins was a small day.

"Worked Really Well"
- Steven D., San Francisco, CA on the Future Fins Stretch Quad Fins

Overall Fin Rating: 4.5

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 171 - 180 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 7

Home Break: Ocean Beach SF
Where did you surf these fins: Ocean Beach SF
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: Mainly Kelly's Cove. Summer Surf. Mixture of clean and mushy wind swell.

Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 5 ft. 8 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: Summer board with wider tail and less rocker.

Other Thoughts: Worked really well in a traditional quad setup with the rear fins closer to the edge. I found that there was too much hold with the rear fins and swapped in a pair of 3.75 rears- Future Fins Vector 2 Quad QI. This set up worked very well. IF stretch had a small rear set then this would be my choice setup.

"Plenty of Hold"
- Jared M., Oceanside, CA on the Future Fins Stretch Quad Fins

Overall Fin Rating: 3

Height: 5'11"
Weight: 151 - 160 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 7

Home Break: Oceanside, CA
Where did you surf these fins: South of the Oceanside Pier
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Good
Misc. Wave/Location Information: Early morning session. The waves were clean and walled.

Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 5 ft. 7 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: Stock CI Neckbeard (PU) with squash tail

Other Thoughts: The fins have plenty of hold, but seemed to lack the drive I have gotten from other fins. I have a preference for lots of drive. This fin may be suitable for me in larger or more powerful waves, but for everyday conditions it feels like too much fin. Seems like the rear fins are relatively large. Smaller rears may loosen up this set.

"Great Fins"
- Paul P., Diamond Bar, CA on the Future Fins Stretch Quad Fins

Overall Fin Rating: 4

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 161 - 170 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 7

Home Break: HB
Where did you surf these fins: Newport River
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A

Type of Board: Fish
Board Size: 5 ft. 2 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: I ran these fins on a Firewire Sweet Potato

Other Thoughts: Great Fins for a quad. The fins are to small for the sweet potato

"Good Drive"
- Erwin M., Oceanside, CA on the Future Fins Stretch Quad Fins

Overall Fin Rating: 3

Height: 5'7"
Weight: 131 - 140 lbs.
Surfing Experience: (1 - 10): 8

Home Break: Oceanside
Where did you surf these fins: Trestles
Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft.
Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A

Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 5 ft. 8 in.
Fin Setup: Quad
Misc. Board Information: Lost Mini Driver

Other Thoughts:
Too much fin area for my weight. Good drive down the line, but it stiffened my turns too much.
