Futures Fins Alpha Series Fins (F4, F6, F8)
Futures Fins classic series is a complete line of classic fin designs,
fused with the latest technology. Some of Futures Fins top team riders
swear by these fins and work with them constantly to dial-in their
templates and foils. The new F series from Futures contains the F2, F4,
F6, and F8. These fins are balanced templates that are designed to work
for all surfers in all conditions. The solid base directly transfers
power, while the tip is still flexible and resilient allowing it to bend
and load up.
Futures Fins Alpha
Futures Fins Alpha fins are made with a special composite designed with the help
of 3M. It's carbon and air infused, and it's super lightweight. Made in Huntington Beach, CA these fins give a balanced ride number making them a great choice to provide spring around those sections but still maintaining hold and predictability. These fins also feature 3D flow texture which helps decrease drag and fin hum. This works by controlling the separation pattern and influences the boundary layer to reduce the drag, resulting in a nice balance in speed and hold.

"Skateboard with Speed Wobbles"
- Anthony D., Santa Cruz, CA on the Futures Fins - Black Stix 2.0 F4 437
Overall Fin Rating: 1.5
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 151 - 160 lbs.

Wave Conditions: Good
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A
Type of Board: Shortboard
Board Size: 6 ft.
Fin Setup: Thruster
Misc. Board Information: 6'0" V4 Tomo Firewire
Other Thoughts: These fins were not solid in the 8-10 foot surf I rode them in. They felt like a skateboard with speed wobbles. They might be better in smaller conditions but the board I have is a step up so they were just a bad fit for my situation.
