Future Fins Rasta Quad
Welcome Back Quad!
In case you haven't noticed Quad Fin setups are in and Future Fins is on point! Not long ago the surf world thought three was better than four, thus the Thruster revolution began. Fast forward to circa 2005 and the thought is/was that three is not better than four, they're just different. Thus depending on surf style, surfers will bicker over which is better when in all reality we all want a Quad in our quiver now. So, if you have a Quad Future Fins is there for you, designing a Quad line that was coming down the pipes long before Quads were cool. (again) So here we are and Future Fins has us saying, "Welcome back Quad!"
Future Fins Rasta Quad
The Future Fins Rasta Quad was Co-designed with one of the world's best free surfers, this V2 quad set was created for high performance surfing. Dave "Rasta" helped in the push for these fins to be made with renewable bamboo, which provides a lively flex pattern. The Bamboo was then wrapped in symbolic art provided by Rasta, to create the unmistakeable Rasta Quad. A medium sized template that performs in a variety of conditions, the Rasta Quad set up has a medium base and tip allowing you to generate more drive and stay on rail.
**The Rasta Quad Fins help support Dave's non-profit organization, Surfers For
Cetaceans.

Wave Conditions: Fair
Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A
Type of Board: Shortboard

Other Thoughts: Rode the Rasta Quads with the Futures knub fin on my 5'9 neckbeard in 1-3 ft surf in Venice, Newport, and Salt Creek. The quad + nub setup has a lot of hold, but 5 fins drag a lot on really small waves. On bigger ones, can really go down the line fast, but harder to get loose on turns. Overall, I liked the fins, but going to try a smaller fin setup to get looser on small waves.
