Futures Fins Elevon Front Fins

Futures Fins Elevon Front Fins

The Futures Fins Elevon Front Fins are FINALLY back after seven years of development and then 2 year hiatus! How do they work? The Elevon has a hydrodynamic surface with "wings" on the inside of the fins which create lift and control, resulting in the ULTIMATE performance speed generating fin! The Futures Fins Elevon will provide you with ridiculous speed to effortlessly carry you through flat sections and a tight turning radius for unequaled vertical surfing. The Futures Fins Elevon Front Fins now have a Carbon/Kevlar construction to make them lightweight and extremely stiff to maintain the engineered flow dynamics. They are rated outside the standard Ride Number scale at an 11, making the Futures Fins Elevon the highest speed generating fin of the Futures Fins line. Pair the Elevon Front Fins with your favorite rear to create a thruster set or your favorite rears to create a quad set and get them on your board!

Misc. Wave/Location Information: N/A

Type of Board: Hybrid
Board Size: 5 ft. 3 in.

Other Thoughts: Elevons have plenty of drive and hold a little better in the turns than most other more traditionally designed fins I have tried. However, any perceived superior traits of this fin do not outweigh the additional cost. In my opinion the Rasta quad is a better value. The Elevons also kind of felt like they were dragging while paddling, but this seems to disappear once up and riding. Also there were instances when the fins released but not in an anticipated or controlled manner.
