Futures Fins R3
The Futures Fins Rusty R3 5-Fin Set is a Lightweight Foam Hex Core Glass Fin that has the look and feel of a glassed on fin. Rusty and Futures have collaborated to create a unique flex pattern that complements all boards, but works insane on EPS boards. Taking the honeycomb out of the tip maximizes tip flex making the fins ultra responsive. Futures Fins has engineered the Rusty R3 5-Fin set with a medium flex pattern that's great for all conditions.

Home Break: Ocean Beach, SF Where did you surf these fins: Ocean Beach, SF Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft. Wave Conditions: Good Misc. Wave/Location Information: Good variety of waves from clean and glassy to mushy and onshore
Type of Board: Hybrid Board Size: 5 ft. 8 in. Fin Setup: Quad Misc. Board Information: Wider, 5 fin Summer board that I have used in waves up 4-6ft.
Other Thoughts: These are great smaller wave fins. Super loose, easy to blow the tail out. Don't have as much drive as the Stretch quads but for fun waves these are the goto for new school moves
"Good Drive Off Bottom Turns"
- Brad T., La Mesa, CA on the Futures Fins - Rusty R1 Hex 5-Fin
Home Break: Tourmaline Surf Park, San Diego, California Where did you surf these fins: Tourmaline Surf Park, California Wave Height: 2 - 4 ft. Wave Conditions: Fair Misc. Wave/Location Information: Somewhat mushy reef/beach break.
Type of Board: Hybrid Board Size: 6 ft. 8 in. Fin Setup: Quad Misc. Board Information: Donald Takayama Scorpion. 6'8"x21.75"x2.75"
Other Thoughts: These fins work remarkably well in small waves. The front fins having a wider base than most quad fronts make for good drive off of bottom turns and in cutbacks while the quad rears being more upright with a slight cut in for some added rake keep it very loose and responsive and make it able to put it anywhere on the wave. I will definitely be buying these at some point in the near future.
